I have a few in my phonebook... funny thing is that of the 244 contacts in my phone book, I probably talk to only a few on a regular basis... maybe time to edit the phonebook. I thinks me should do that and maybe add some VX friends... I'm sure that will happen this year at Moab. Until then, if anyone cares... my cell number is 816-935-4986... of course, if you call, the first time will most likely end up at voice mail... I screen calls at times... until I have you in the book and you name comes up, I let it go to voice mail hell. Anywho... Later!

BTW Coach, we have something else in common besides VX friends:
Motor Swap
It's going in my 1968 Bronco. I won't be turning the key on it for a few months but looking forward to it.

Looks like a nice fit... much more room in the bay of that Bronco than in the VX... what size is it anyway? I can only tell its a truck motor by looking at it. How long have you been working on it? Have you found the resources at http://www.ls1tech.com ? If not, would definitely check it out.Originally posted by lttlbddy

Yeah, I've been over to ls1tech.com alreadygood site. And yes it is an LT1 (5.3) not LS1 but still a good upgrade compared to the original 289.
As for more room, well the clearance around the diff is minimal, probably have to modify the oil pan the way you did. The intake is too tall (can be fixed with $$$ and a lower profile intake or a hood with a scoop, the exhaust manifolds dump right onto the frame rails, other than that it is a perfect fit.
It's been a slow start been working on it a couple of months, but really only 6-8 days. Only get to work on it on weekends. Just got my Atlas II today. Still have to get the new front axle (Dana 44). I will probably have to uninstall it from it's current Bronco as the owner is dragging his feet. He has had a perfectly good D60 sitting there for months and just won't find the time to do the swap.
Time to start putting it back together this Saturday!!
The motor came out of a Suburban. The Bronco weighs 2000 pounds less. I am anxious to see how the performance is!!
