Yep Itsayjack is steering you true...I have the the 285X60X18 Terra Grapplers too. I think Discount Tire has a conversion formula on there website, but the tire is just short of 31' in dia. and has a section width of around 11+". It looks like the tire that Isuzu designed there gapping wheel wells for the VX.

These tires are without question(imho) the best set up. bar none. You will have to trim a teensy part of your cladding on the front edge with a jig saw. Takes less than 10 minutes, take about 2 inches from the front outside edge of the cladding and cut at a angle to a point about 6 inches in the direction of the license plate. To get a better idea... turn your steering wheel to where the center of the tread of your present tires are closest to the front bottom edge of the wheel well. Your stock tires will be about 1 1/2 -2 inches from that tip. Just measure up about 2 inches up the cladding and cut at an angle toward that "curled up" lip at the bottom of the front cladding. Your piece should look like a little triangle and not noticable. If it is you cut too much ;eekr;

I would send some pics if I had them...actually somebody already has on some previous threads. The rear tires fit without mods. I made the cuts first then bought my tires.

I know some go with 33-34" O.D. tires. for that Monster "Big Foot" look. Not the ideal choice IMO for decent gear reduction on some "hair raising" icy slippery sliding steep downhill sidehill butt puckering 4 wheeling where slow staying off the brake pedal travel keeps you in the road..sorta.

This tire looks like it belongs there and is a pratical tire for this car.

Getem and you'll thank me.

As for the tire rim they recommend 8" and my stock rim is 7" looks fine to me..drives fine...feels fine...I may drop the air down again to 32lbs from 34...just tweeking a little and there.
