VX922 - Thanks for the description of the pcv valve. I had the idea that it was something like that!

I'm not a mechanic, but in my opinion pcv valve replacement will probably only help in a few situations. Since it's such an inexpensive and easy to replace part, it just seems like a good thing to try.
