    Question RPM blip

When I floor my VX ;Dp; it pulls steadily to about 3k then the acceleration kinda slows down from 3-4k (there is an audible change in tone as well). Then it goes strong to about 4.5k and then drops back to 4k before continuing on to the shift point. Very weird. This is all with constant pedal pressure and no shifts. Other than this, it's running perfectly. Changed the fuel and air filters (BIG improvement BTW), no problem with idle, etc. The only other thing I've noticed is that the tranny takes about 1.5 secs to kick down 2 gears when floored.....any ideas?

    Friend: "Oh."

Sounds like the torque converter locking up as it is designed to do which puts a load on the engine and brings it down a bit. The Interceptor will allow you to delay that lockup and carry more power anr rpms through a shift as well as giving you more precise down and upshifting.
