Wow, this is great! So far the list looks something like this:

    BBVX
    Hotsauce
    TDAWG
    Medman
    Valenki
    Peewog
    Amack76
    AndyC
    BeaverTractors
    ZADAM123
    DrDavidr4u
    VXMAN
    Pigpen

    NC_VX ??
    Daver ??
    VehiX ??

    That's quite a lineup!
If you're looking for a hotel, definitely check priceline.com.

To all of those with significant others who are less than enthusiastic, remind them that this isn't a car meet or a wheeling weekend. I see us spending 2 or 2.5 hours with the cars, 3 tops. The rest of the time is freetime. If VX people decide to spend it together, great. If not, I don't think anyone will mind. Last year, after playing with the cars (probably around 1ish), we went inside, had lunch and just about everyone went in different directions. Some of us met for dinner, some left to head back home, most probably gambled, a few of us even met for breakfast the next morning. So, it's entirely up to you what to do with the time you have, and who you spend it with.
I guess Vicky and I will be leaving Saturday night to return the teeter totter and drive back before it gets really late.

    Thanks,
    Brian

    Talking I'm in Heaven!

Thank you, Brian, for sending me the e-mail about the VX Meet - I will admit I have been very bad about logging on here and staying current with the posts. (Too much work - too little time, etc. etc.)
I can't think of a better Valentine's Day - casino and VXer's - my two favorite things!!!! I definitely prefer Foxwoods over Mohegan, as a matter of fact, will be spending at least 12 hours there this Friday.

Now here's an interesting twist as compared to some of the posts in this thread..... I'll have to check with hubby to see if HE will be willing to go to Foxwoods that day for a VX meet. The VX is actually mine, and he HATES the casino, but I'll bet if I tell him there will be a bunch of guys talking cars, I'll have no problem convincing him. Maybe some of you non-gamblers can even keep him amused for a few hours while I sneak off and play, eh? :winkp:

Brian - we'll be driving from Meriden to Foxwoods and go right by East Haddam . . . let me know if you need hubby and I to meet you there to lend a hand with the teeter-totter. Now THAT will really make him look forward to going to the casino for the first time in his life - vehicle fun!!!!

Count us in, and thanks again for sending the e-mail. I promise to do better with staying in touch on here.

Brian, you heading up Saturday morning? If so, let me know when and I can help out with the balance beam. We won't be staying overnight this trip, so maybe we'll be heading home together too?

    Angry Not attending after all

One of hubby's co-workers is getting married on Valentine's Day, and he told him we'd be at the wedding. Darned romantics .... getting married on Valentine's Day. (sigh) Maybe next year - have a great time!

    Dan + Sue,
That's ok, we'll get something going in the spring.

    Dave,
That would be great but I don't know yet whether or not I will be picking it up. The guy who has it (non-VXer, who lives in E. Haddam) sent me an email saying he would probably bring it and spend the day at the casino, but he wasn't 100%. When he gets back to me, I'll let you know. Thanks for the offer.

I sent out 8 or 9 emails to various VXers around the area but so far Sue has been the only response. Hopefully, we'll get some more ?!?!?!

    Thanks,
    Brian

I htink I will be at the next meet/..... 10 hour drive for two days isn't worth the better half's time.... hmmmm, I was so close to getting her to go... In the end, I have to be that romantic and treat her to something special!!!! Goodness!

Sorry guys, the place looks great, an early fall meet at Foxwoods would be really fun! Any chance?

Hey guys, sorry can't make it this year: my wife and I already made plans for the Valentine's weekend. Looks like a lot of people are up to it, so hope you'll guys have fun. I'm sure there will be even more people at the meet: last time nearly half the people who showed up were "lurkers" .

Hotsause, I still have your walkie-talkie from the last yerar's meet! I've sent you email and private message trying to get it back to you, but you never responded. Let me know if you still want it.

    Thumbs up

Foxwoods sounds great. I enjoyed Mohegan Sun last year but there is no place at Foxwoods where we can enjoy the NY/NJ "flyover" as we did from the top of the Mohegan Sun ramp garage. Foxwoods has an "RV" parking lot which is only RV's and Trailer trucks and it is about a 10 minute walk to the hotel. This time of year, the lot should have plently of space. I believe that it's lot #9. I'm temped to bring the RV as a place to get warm in the parking lot but I know you guys like to gamble, etc..
