Going through a separation. Home is worth approx 1.4-1.5M. Would ideally like to buy out a spouse. The situation is a 495k mortgage; there is 140k HELOC outstanding plus the spouse has another 50k in CC debt. What would you do with Home Listings in Dexter MI? Would you buy out the spouse which would mean taking on all debt(50% would come out of the spouse's equity)--this would amount to approx 1M once you include the existing mortgage and the spouse half of the equity that needs to be paid out. Or just sell? But not having a ton of money to get back into the market. I'm in the heart of Toronto.
