    Transmuission Leaking

I posted this over on the facebook forum but thought I would try here since I know a number of you have done drain and fills on your transmission.

I used the washers with rubber centers last summer.
This week the drain plug was leaking and the fill plug was still ok.

Yesterday, I thought I would try the copper crush washers instead.
Now the drain plug is ok but the fill plug is leaking.

Everything torqued to spec 28 fl lbs

Can't seem to get the leaking stopped.

    What are you guys using?

I used the washers with the rubber coating made for the oil pan plug. I change it every oil change so never had an issue. I recently did a tranny fluid check and used the same washer on the fill plug. All good so far and they are rated for this purpose. Where did you get yours? Are they rated for automotive use? I'm hoping that mine last but we'll see.

I used this one from Rockauto:
    ACDELCO 14090908 GM Original Equipment
I found a similar one here on Amazon.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I ordered that one too but didn't use it.

Thanks. I appreciate it! I tried the Dorman on my fill plug and it seems to be holding fine for about a day now. I will order a couple oem ones from Scott and see what the difference is. I wonder what "ipd" uses. From what I remember, he drains and fills or flushes his transmission every 12K miles or so.

I received my order from Scott. I thought I would post some photos of it so you can see what it looks like.

Those are a new style for sure. Be fun to torque those down. Thanks for sharing.
