    Fuel line hose leak... (engine/firewall)

I have a rotted fuel line hose... Leaks up between the right hose ring clamp on injectors pipe and firewall... passenger side... May be return line hose?

I cannot yet, find the other “lower” end of hose to remove and replace hose...

Anyone know where the other end of hose is located and how to access?

    Thanks

    Robert

Have researched more... I believe the passenger side is the return hose fuel line... Still cannot find both ends of failed hose...

I'm pretty sure there is both the intake and return line. It has a soft W clamp that bolts to the back of the head. Going off memory they both are very short to the hard line and then back to rubber as it goes down into a shield along the tranny. IF you get the bolt out of the head replacing the hose will be a royal pain with the intake on. BE SURE TO RE-INSTALL THE BOLT or the hose will crack soon and leak again. I just up loaded pictures of it in my gallery..

The only method that I'm aware of, is to remove the intake. (you probably need new intake gaskets anyway) Be sure the line(s) you use as replacements are rated for fuel injection use.

I was thinking maybe, just maybe if you pull the hood, pull the top half of the intake and what ever else in the way, take the front wheels off and lower and by crawling around on it like a high school wrestler trying to pin, there might be a chance.

Be careful when buying a new intake gasket. I went through 3 of them before the parts store got me the correct one. The 3.2 Upper Gasket is the same as the 3.5, but thinner. I popped two of them. Once we figured out there was a difference in the computer I tried the thicker one and haven't had a problem since. If nothing else have them pull a couple of different ones and open the boxes and just choose the thicker one.
