    1999 Matte Black Vx California!!

Hate to do this but its time to let my baby go. Here is my 1999 Vx. Originally a kaiser, i ended up changing colors a few times with good ole plasti-dip. Amazing color combo with the matte black and red/black interior. Mechanically car is in perfect condition. Mileage is a bit high at 215,000 but i assure you that it still has full power and runs like a champ. Let the checklist do the talking.

~Any service history records? None that i have available but spark plugs changed, serpentine belt changed, timing belt inspected and it was changed, oil always changed on time, egr tube and intake manifold disassembled and cleaned. This is what i remember off the top of my head but i will add more later.

~How long have you owned it? Ive owned the car for approximately 3 years and ive bought it from a man who's wife owned the vehicle.

~Electric windows work properly or bind? Both windows bind but i keep a bottle of silicon lubricant and that stops it until it gets dry again. Passenger side window needs a new motor it does not go down. Driver side works fine.

~Condition of window rubber track/gaskets...(many have ripped or been cut) Window track rubber in good condition no modifications done.

~Look behind door panels to see if vapor barrier is present - (may indicate previous work on windows) Not present.

~Window regulator /motor been replaced? Driver side window regulator replaced works good. Passenger side needs new motor.

~SBC brackets ever installed on windows? Nope.

~Any oil consumption noted, under ANY conditions? (some seem to consume a little when on prolonged highway driving) I do add a quart of oil every now and then but never measured. Maybe a quart every 2500 miles?

~Chrome wheels peeling? (many peeled on the inner side) Some flaking but still shiny!

~ABS - Any ABS light problems? Make sure ABS light comes on when key is first turned to ON position. If not, could a problem and / or bulb has been removed. Note, many have disconnected ABS system, or never repaired it when it went out, and truck seems to function fine (just no ABS).
    No lights on whatsoever.

~OEM CD player still work correctly or ERR3 code? Any jammed CDs? Radio swapped out for newer model with aux/usb input.

~Any problems with TOD? Works perfect!

~Any clunking when decelerating or accelerating? None at all.

~Brand & model of tires & approx tread remaining-

~Do all 4 tires match in brand, size, model, AIR PRESSURE & wear? (TOD system will often make severe clunking noises if all 4 aren't pretty "equal" in all these terms)

~How long have these current 4 tires been on?
Havent changed tires since ownership. Decent all season tires. one recently popped and i changed it a week ago. Will be a good idea to get new tires but these will still do fine.

~Timing belt changed? Not changed under my ownership but it has been replaced.

~Original OEM brake pads or replacements? Brakes replaced when purchased.

~Any fluids dripping, ever? No fluids dripping at all.

~Last time & what fluids have been changed? Last oil change was 2,000 miles ago. No other fluids changed.

~What type of fluids (synthetic oil or regular, motor oil, diff, tranny, transf case)? Only ever used synthetic oil for engine oil changes. other fluids never touched.

~Evaluate/describe condition of all cladding - scrapes, holes, deformation, dryness, chalky appearance, any evidence of being "painted" in any way? Cladding is in great shape plastic-dipped black.

~Are all cladding screws present? Any striped? All cladding screws present as well as extras.

~Condition of 4 screw knobs on inside rear door panel (often break off) Sadly all broken off but I've improvised.

~Condition of inside door opening handle/levers & mechanism (sometimes broken) Inside door handles in good shape. Arm rest on passenger side broken.

~Any unusual /excessive vibrations - very subjective of course None I've noticed.

~Any problems with motor mounts? In good shape.

~Determine the history of the car's physical location, if possible (i.e. East Coast, potential rust, desert sun (UV), etc)

    ~Inspect thoroughly for rust!!
Any evidence of rusted bolts anywhere?
Is rear gas tank skid plate or tail pipe showing rust?

~Status of front bumper reinforcement bar? (Often rusts off completely)

~Status of rear license plate light/socket/bracket -(often severely rusts) -will give indication if it was in a rust belt area
    CALIFORNIA CAR NO RUST !!!!!

~Condition of paint - Describe. (fading, chipping, scratches, repainted areas) The Plasti-dip could use a couple new panels sprayed. Stock silver color in good condition with light fading. Beauty of plasti-dip is you could change the car to any color for less tha $200.

~Condition of hood insert - Describe. (very often cracked) In good shape no cracks.

~Condition of plastic headlight housings - any crazing, fogged, cracked, etc...or been restored/polished, etc....(very often cloudy/fogged) I restored headlights a year ago and still crystal clear. Good shape.

~Rubber headlight gaskets- present at all?, ripped, condition Present in good condition.

~Evaluate engine bay- clean? dirty? Any evidence of leaking fluids (old or new) of any type?? Evaluate fluid levels. Fairly clean, No leaking from anywhere except i did notice the power steering rack a little wet.

~Evaluate air filter- excessively dirty? OEM or after-market? Oem air filter. In good shape.

~Has muffler ever been replaced? What's the status of the current muffler? Rusted, surface rust, etc? OEM, after-market? (Since, as I understand it, these mufflers are no longer available, so an aftermarket one with some modification to the pipes may be required.) Stock muffler. No rust in great shape.

~Has it had to go through emissions testing recently? (Some states require for registration, some don't) Passed on its own last year should still be good.

~Ever been lifted or torsion bars cranked? Never lifted or cranked.

~Condition of CV joints? (Can be damaged after being lifted) Great shape.

~Battery- status, condition and age Replaced 2 years ago. Good shape.

~Any unusual flashing of any lights on dash or shifter? (Mode selection switch may be bad) No unusual or flashing lights ever. Winter and power mode works as should.

~Any odors inside, such as smoke? Non smoker car! Car smells good actually.

~Condition of leather seats...scrapes, rips, tears, wear, abrasion, driver's side seat bolster No tears whatsoever. Seats fully functional.

~Condition of center console padded armrest -(very often cracked and split where driver's elbow has rested on it) Little scraped but no rips or tears.

~Condition of leather steering wheel - (often heavily scraped up) Starting to tear at seams and a little color loss but i will get the car detailed for the buyer.

~Condition of levers that bring seat back forward to allow access to rear seats (often broken) Works and in great shape.

~Does it have an OEM roof rack? YES!!!!

~Are OEM rail caps in place and/or available? 2 are 2 are not.

~Ever taken off road? Never really taken off road, although has been on some trips to the snow.

~OEM or after-market tail pipe? OEM tailpipe.

~Status of tail pipe - any deformation may indicate off road use Good condition. No damage.

~Status of rear lower cladding & rear gas tank skid plate- scrapes may indicate off road use In good shape no damage.

~Status of undercarriage overall - scrapes, damage, etc... may indicate off road use Nothing like that.

~Any known repairs? Front passenger side had a little bump but thats all taken care of.

~Any extra parts on hand? I do have a few cladding screws and a broken side view mirror but thats all.

~Any modifications done previously that have now been removed? Describe. Absolutely none at all.

Besides the checklist, this car has been babied its whole life. Never abused, never offloaded, non-smoker, gently driven and always cared for with on time maintenance. Only reason I'm selling the car is to thin the heard. Only modifications on this car are upgraded speakers and tweeters(old ones were shot), and upgraded led headlights as well as led fog lights. This car is literally a traffic stopper. I get compliments all the time and people are always amazed when they see this car with the interior and out of its class features. Its been a hell of a ride with this car but now its someone elses turn to enjoy this fine piece of machinery.

My asking price for this vehicle is $4,500. Although i am willing to negotiate. And for the right price I will throw in pillows as well haha! Please give me a call or text at (818) 818-1391 . Thank you.
