There is only one OEM rack for the VX...and they are not available anymore.

They do come up for sale now and then, and sell for about $375 ish in good shape.

A few people have made/modified racks to fit...

Nope Eric, the Thule 696 was not factory..
....there was no OEM basket.

The only factory was the cross bars..
These were standard on Ironman editions, an extra otherwise.

I mounted an aftermarket rack. It involved drilling and tapping threads into the metal under the plastic caps so I could then put bolts into the threads.

Yakima low riders are a direct fit. I've been using them for 5 years without issue and they're solidly mounted.
