Recommended shipping options for large parts (front bumper)?

    Hey all,
I packaged up a front bumper to ship to the West Coast, and the smallest I could get it was about 19x19x68 inches, which cost about $215 to ship via FedEx. It was too large for UPS or USPS to ship. What options do folks here use to ship really big parts?
    Thanks!
    Will

    Try Greyhound Will

I have shipped large bumper sized stuff with them, just dont tell them its a car part or they wont insure it
They ship from major terminal..to major terminal..and its very cost effective.

    Cheers

I shipped a front cladding from Arizona to New York through Greyhound and it was about $80 if I remember right.
The catch is you have to take it to a Greyhound station and the receiver has to pick it up at a Greyhound station. Other than that it was a smooth operation. Took about 4 days for it to get there.

Thanks for the tips. It's looking like about $90 to ship from Nashville to Oregon, which works for me.

Jo beat me to it. I shipped 4 tires & wheels from Ogden to Mesa for about $90. That's not bad at all. I have shipped car bumpers through them before, for around $100.
