Supercharger - Searching for an intake pipe.

    Hello everyone,

Just recently acquired an Alpine supercharger and installed it on my 99 Trooper. Loving it for the most part. It's kinda noisy at idle but I am sure most of you know that already.

Here is a picture of the beast.

Anyway, it came with a cone air filter. I would like to convert this back to the stock filter box with some modification to allow more air in.

The question I have for you guys is this. In the picture below there is a piece of intake pipe that has like a 45 degree bend at the TB. I am looking for this part. To me it looks like maybe its off a 3.2 SOHC - I see that a bunch of you VXers are using this setup.

EDIT: Sorry I couldn't link the image. I will try to do it later but maybe some of you will know what I am talking about.

    Thank you!

Here is the piece I am looking for. Am I correct that this is off a 3.2 SOHC?

I think most of us are using something aftermarket for the intake plumbing. I always found that the piece it came stock with got too hot from the engine and was not any real help for the passing of cool air being some alloy. I would try to avoid that stock piece if you want to push cooler air. Look C/F or even F/G if possible. Plastic should be ok as well. Of course the trick is, finding something aftermarket to work with the airbox. You will most likely have to do some modifications to a part. I believe my C/F intake was advertised for Acura/Hondas, and I cut/filed/modified the crap out of it to get it to work with the airbox. Of course, if you go with a simple short ram, it will be easier to find a lot of options. Just my opinion....

In any case, maybe someone here with the S/C will be willing to sell you theirs. *shrug*

    Good luck!
