The spliced in rectangular piece of plastic that sits on my hatch's "Crescent Moon" plastic piece--is loose. Anyone have any good ideas for securing it in place?
Thanks!

Go in through the back and see if one of the tabs is broken. Best advice.![]()

I assume that means pulling out the spare & removing the nuts on the hatch where the crescent is?
Nope, you can't access it unless you remove it. So taking the nuts off inside the cutting the double stick tape around the housing.

Spare has to come out to access assembly to remove. The crescent also has an adhesive lining. I haven't done it for many years when I did a rear view cam, but I think my memory serves fairly well.

It's where the rear view camera is mounted on the JDM models. They came standard with a back up camera and the door to allow operations was remote. The US version did not have the camera so a filler piece was put in place to plug the hole.
Got it, thanks...
Weirdest thing happened...I had looked at mine the day I posted in this thread (Tues.) and then on Wednesday was looking at my VX and noticed the rectangle thing is gone...guess I'll make something for it
