i agree, in both categories. im not sure if i can make it to Moab now. my trans started slipping. if i cant get the manual swap done then i will have to see you next time.

Is there a manual transmission that will bolt up to the VX with little/no fabrication? My tranny is acting up a bit as well.. I'm thinking I just need to change out the solenoids and adjust the bands, but a manual tranny would be sweet!

1999-2001/02 Trooper trannys pretty much bolt right up with a slight bit of massaging, as they share the same engine. Best bet is to find a wrecked Trooper so you can snag all the parts you need (flywheel, pedal assembly, slave cylinder, middle exhaust section, hydraulic hard line, ECM, etc).

i still have it. just let me know. the manual swap takes some work but can be done on your back... just ask Bartman i hope to have it done soon and ill let you know.
