Nope. All you need for a suspension lift is OME 912 or OME 919 springs. Body lift kits are a valuable from Independent4x and honestly they both are reasonably priced.
What makes the suspension lift a little more expensive is all the "non-essential" things that you might want after the lift. Things like diff drop brackets, adjustable lower links, longer steel braided brake lines, modified driveshaft, and various other items are not really necessary, but help put the VX back to settings that decrease the new heavier load on some of the components after lift. But honestly just springs and torsion bar crank are "necessary" for the suspension lift.
