Vin # look up

How do I look up a Vin # on this site?

On the left hand side Site Search menu use the drop down box and select Members, click Advanced, and then Go

Bartman must be an idiot. I selected memeber, selected radio button Advanced and pressed Go. Didn't work

You so funny! First link is useless if I have a vin, it tells me nothing. Second on helps, but it there a place that explains the code.....ie. JACCN57X117D00638,
JAC = Japan
CN = place it was made??? etc

Any help with, decoding or what colors look like etc.
