I hate to even think it could be, but that's exactly what my motor sounded like before they said it needed to be replaced. CLICK, CLICK, CLACK over and over again. Listen to see if it sounds like it's coming from the right side (passenger) cylinder bank towards the rear of the motor (cylinder # 1). I've got my fingers crossed for you that's it's not that.
