doing a repair if it's the typical crack isn't that difficult and you'll end up with a better insert then just installing another one that will probably crack again.
If you have basic skills (can read the label) and equipment, (sandpaper, small fibre glas repair kit, glaze putty, can of primer and flat black paint spray can, rachet and right size socket) you could knock it out in a afternoon.
