Wonder if you could use our drivers side and just have the switches be not correct left to right. The window (driver and passenger side) part would be on the wrong side.

I thought that as I could disable the lock button. Anyone know where the best place is for a window motor and window switch nowadays?

Thanks Tom I would be happy to buy it off you, has anyone removed the motor and tried to get it re-furbished or is that a waste of time. If new motor supplies become limited is it worth looking into an alternative?
Do St Charles Isuzu still carry all of the parts still? I know Merlin was a great help when I phoned up years ago but do they still have an active working parts department for the VX?

I'll dig it out tomorrow. Which side do you need (Left or Right).

There should be places that could rebuild the electric motor but it's probably not cost effective. I'm guessing that the motor is probably the same as on other Isuzus even though the regulator is different.

I'll see if there are any idenitfying #s on the motor when I pull it off of the regulator.

I'm thinking that our major problem is the regulator & possibly the upstream electrics so finding an alternative to the OEM motor probably isn't worth too much effort.

    Thanks,
Its a right hand side motor, I did send off an enquiry with the Isuzu dealer listed above for a new one.
Is it easy to separate the motor or does the whole thing supporting the window have to be removed as it was so long ago I originally did mine.

Sorry, but I've actually never removed the motor from the regulator. I don't know how easy it would be to do with the regulator still mounted in the door. I'll try to get a feel for that when I pull the motor tomorrow. AFAIK there is only a couple of screws holding the motor to the regulator.

I'm not clear David.....are you after the beige electronic module that's attached to the black switches, OR are you after the actual motor for the WINDOW? Or both?

Here's closeup pics of the window motor attached to the window regulator. It's super easy to remove the motor, it's just those 3 brass colored screws.

In case somebody is looking for used WINDOW MOTORS, here's BOTH ON EBAY for a VERY reasonable price!
    LEFT SIDE (US Driver side)

    RIGHT SIDE (US Passenger side)

Here's close up pics of the US spec window button modules, in case it helps you decide if you can mod it to work for you.

    Thanks Sue,
Helpful as usual, I've bought the motor on e-bay you found, because the price I was quoted for a new one scared me to death.
I am giving my friend the beige module to see if he can sort it because the USA models are different so may blow the new motor.
