I have never heard the PV1 but from my experience with the PV2 is that if you have sensitive ears- don't buy it. It does take some time but it does mellow out. When its cold its pretty loud, the more you drive the better it sounds. And once I put the Supercharger on it, it changed the tone drastically and now I think it sounds absolutely awesome!

I love the sound when it starts now! All deep and throaty and loud (however not as nice as a V8 can be, but I have never heard a V6 sound as good) I can hear it start while playing cards and listening to music in my buddies house. While ideling it sounds like a big 4-wheeler I think, just "blub-blub-blub" while accelerating the only way I can explain the sound is deep gurgling.

2001 Ironman Daily Driver... 3.5" suspension lift (OME912 springs and 1" spring spacer), ball joint flip, 1.5" front diff. drop, 33"x12.5 TrXus MT, 16x10 Eagle Alloy rims, Interceptor, PV muffler, K&N air filter, Alpine Supercharger, Bilstein shocks, and some trimming.

2000 Ironman Project LS-1 VX... very slow progress but someday....... ohhhhh someday......
