    Preserve my VX

Probably more of a general question of old cars but what do I need to do besides the manufacturers interval maintenance to keep VX operating smoothly and not a ticking time bomb? Some examples I was thinking: replace all air hoses, replace wiring, timing chain.

I'm told one of the biggest ticking bombs is the EGR. It slowly fills up with carbon, and once it closes off, it sucks all the oil out of the engine. Have that cleaned out, and keep a CLOSE eye on your engine oil.

    X2 Yup..EGR & PCV clean is good!....
...and keeping an eye on oil consumption!.

Plus keep an eye on the CV boots...
... they mostly tear on lifted ( you look a little lifted?)

Tire wear/PSI needs to be even all round... or TOD freaks.

Bearing wear in front axles.. fix before it ruins 'green cups'

I'm sure there is more too... !
