    Oxygen Sensor

    Are the EGR and Oxygen Sensor related ?

    Only in that they both measure various levels of gasses in the system and feedback into the ECU. The EGR mounts at the top-back of the engine. The O2 sensors are on the exhaust under the VX...

    If you get a 401code for bad EGR you will likely get a message saying the 02 sensors are bad/dirty. Clean the EGR tube and maybe replace the valve itself. Then run some Lucas gas treatment for a while and maybe the 02 warnings will go away and turn off your CEL.
