Hi, also if you have AAA you can go with the sellar and title to any AAA office with your own insurance for the VX and they will issue temporary tags that I believe are good for 20 days so you can drive home. I think its a $75, fee for this service as long as you are a AAA member.

I actually have an independent inspector going out this afternoon to look at the car. The carfax is very clean, and I had the dealer send hi res photos of areas I wanted to look at closer. But the inspection includes a 180 point check and 2 mile test drive for $110 bucks using http://www.carchex.com/. Then flying and driving out won't be a big deal. Pretty sure I can do all that for well under the $800 I've been quoted for even an open transport.

I am using an escrow fund between my loan agent and the dealer, and the final payment will be a cashiers check I bring for the balance after I get to look at it myself. It's low mileage and in gorgeous shape, so I am just waiting for the inspection report to move on this. Boss already said take the two days (plus the weekend) to go get it...he's in to cars too. And I'll be picking up a female friend who is doing her doctor residency in Wichita, and we'll ride back from there to Denver together and hang out a bit So I have incentive to drive...





I will keep you all updated on the adventure. Oh, and I'll be picking it up either the day before or on my birthday
