Will do, I don't have any shine left from the spring meet Still waiting to see if the campground is gonna be open. I can go primitive in the woods, but the kids and wife would not have as much fun and certainly not for 6 days that we originally planned. Hard to justify the several hundred bucks in fuel for a 2 day trip

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

I don't see the campground re-opening in time. Can we start looking for a time in the spring to re-schedule?

We will argue the spring meet sometime after Christmas I am going down there anyway, but not till Friday, and without the wife and kids. Have a montero and an xterra going, gonna tow the trailer, just "rough" it on the trails. Better than nothing. Wonder how long before I get my refund?

Firmed up plans today. We are heading down early friday morning. Gonna stay at Art Lilly. Glad I have some solar capability so I can have lights at night.
Vault toilet is open at least. Hope I can find a spot to park the trailer, I imagine it will be pretty busy out there.

Just can't make that as a day trip & won't 'camp' in Walmart parking lot. We've made other arrangements for this weekend. Looking forward to the next attempt at a get together.

I understand, I was packing this morning, got the trailer hooked up for the first time since I painted it. Once the sun comes out, I will snap some pics and post on my trailer thread. All I have to say, it is bad ***, can't wait until I get the new axle and the big tires on the trailer, gonna look like a tank.

Mebbe we can plan for a 'show-n-shine' in Williamsburg before the weather gets too cold.

Sounds doable to me. Soccer season ends in a few weeks, so I will be free on most weekends.

I am heading out in a few hours, just waiting on a package from the Fedex guy. USDA shows the campground as open again, but the reservation site is still down. For all you non-essential government workers, get back to work!!

I'll be checking the reservations website throughout the day ... need to cancel my reservations so that I don't get charged.

They called me on Tuesday, refunds will be processed after the last day of your reservations. I have to figure out how to get my partial refund, site 27 is a a double site, so I should get back enough to cover most of my gas down there. Glad I payed months ago so they could earn interest on my reservation

Sounds like I'm getting a full refund (not being charged the $10 cancellation fee).

    EDIT:

Yup, full refund since cancellation was due to Gov't shutdown.
