Things iz always interesting when you ride with T4B

Yesterday I had to run to York, PA to pick up B's birthday present (a new puppy). Her BD isn't till April but puppy was ready now.

Anyway, just before Boy & I crossed into PA, we stopped for a lunch break. As we were pulling out of the parking lot, I heard a 'POP' & saw sparks fly from my hood & the engine died. My first thought was: "OMG, Dormer is in town & just shot my car".

    NAH!!!

Nothing so dramatic. The battery on my Eclipse was slightly oversized for the application & the positive terminal was pressed against the hood blanket. Well, as luck would have it, now was the time for it to lose that small layer of insulation. I now have a 1/4" diameter burn mark & a small hole in my hood.

Engine cranked right up & a microfiber towel layed over the battery got us back on the road. But, guess what song was on the radio when we got back in the car ... "Sparks Fly" by Taylor Swift.

BTW - the puppy is a Morkie ... cute as a button!!!

    It's a cross between a Yorkshire Terrier & a Maltese.

She looks kinda like this ... but lighter color.

Figured us "old" guys would get it

I have seen hamsters bigger than that dog. Wouldn't have even been a bite-size snack for my big dog

Yah, our golden retriever weighs at least 2 orders of magnitude more.

Our dog's names suit them though. The Yorkie is named Micro. This one is Mini.

Since Cutie Pie (the golden retriever) weighs about 100 lbs ... we usually just call her OMG!!!

    Been There

Yep, that happened to me too In my Talon. It was my first car and I had just bought it and was driving it home. It was dark out so it took a while to figure out there was a hole in the hood. All I knew was there were sparks and I couldn't restart the car. Got it worked out tho
