Ballast in HID kits are only used to convert and regulate the flow of current from 55w down to 35w (normal HID kit wattage). These kits come with their own control module which does the same thing, just down to 15w.Originally Posted by VXorado

Impressive light output for no ballasts. I bet the glare is petty bad coming off the reflectors but no worse than an HID conversion.
