    All true. It looks like they took that into consideration though. The extra-long tongue combined with the aft positioned axle will probably go a long way in mitigating those issues. Look at the second pic posted by KAT (tan frame with black box). It looks like it was one of their early prototypes & they had the axle mounted farther forward. The rest of the pix look like production models with the axle farther aft.

    I was thinking if you removed the hinges on the rear half of the shell and attached it permanently to the front half of the shell you'd then have an opening mechanism more like the first trailer option I posted above. Then you'd need to cut the back part of the plastic bottom and install some hinges (along with weatherstripping I'm sure). Seems doable to a non-engineer.
