Cadding warped on rear door

Hi All,
I searched the forums but wasn't able to find anything on this exact topic. I was curious if anyone else had this problem and if so what you did to fix it. The issue I am having is that my rear door cladding on the bottom left side is pulling up so that you have to hold it down to open the door. I've had the gate assembly semi-apart but it seems like there is just double sided tape that is supposed to hold it down. I've put up with it for a while but its getting old always having to use two hands to open the gate. Anyone else have this issue and or suggestions.

Install new double sided tape?

I had the same problem when I modified my rear door. I ended up using a countersunk bolt in the cladding to hold it down. Works for my door but definitely not OEM looking.
