    Thank you all. Last owner really torqued down on the plugs and I just wanted to make sure I didn't strip them....PS Last owner never changed rear diff fluid, I flushed it and it looked like mud....mud I tell you!

    it possibly got water in it from crossing water. Water can enter through the axle seals and fill the pumpkin. Flush it good with brake cleaner before refilling.
