I mentioned the fastener that goes to the bars we selected in my first post, and it says to AVOID stud by 1.5". These things say:
"rated up to 800 pounds in Ceramic Wall Tile." Was the only one we found that seemed to be really good for tile.

We have the blue prints for our house....somewhere.....we're trying to find them to look at construction.

After looking over many stud finders, we decided to try the Franklin 710. It had 101 great reviews. We'll see I guess.
Also picked up a magnetic sensor as a double check backup.
