You're right about Santa Monica, but you don't have an ocean. Now where I live you can have a 2400 sq ft house on 1/2 an acre with mountain views for $175K.

I dunno about Cali's "windy city"...

No dis meant MD, but there ain't a lot of things to recommend Hesperia, according to some of these posts...maybe things have gotten better?

Did the constant wind quit blowing because of global warming?
