I am getting ready to do my timing belt/water pump in the next couple months (I figure at 145,000 miles it's about due). In my opinion you will do the job more often with cheap aftermarket parts...not something I want to do. I will spend the little bit extra for quality oem parts so I don't have to repeat the job in 6 months. Merlin should be hearing from me soon
If it were an easy job I don't mind cheaper aftermarket stuff....but something that requires this type of time/effort I want to last. Just my two cents.
