    The wrap will be in brushed blue steel.

    I have the Kevlar MT/Rs and they're awesome. They're super quiet for an aggressive off road tire and should last around 30k miles. IMO, best tire for serious off roading and daily driving.

    I've heard the Goodyear duratracs are also pretty good and cheap but they only have a 2 ply sidewall.

    Thanks jon... I think those are going to be the ones... no cheap tires in my shop... lol. What size are yours? psi? Load?

    THey come in either a C or E rating, with 2 ply or 3 ply, respectively, IIRC.

    That's true, you could get an E rating. Might be a little stiff for a VX.

    ...or the C rated MT/Rs have a 3 ply sidewall.

    Well, I did have a set of E rating tires on the VX. I moved them to my wife's Avalanche. I had those tires on the VX for 40K, no problem with the stiffer tires. They would have lasted forever, if I wouldn't have moved them. After over 40k on the VX, still measured 15/32" average (new 18/32".)
