I found replacement jack shafts (green cup) from a wreaked VX last year and the replacement cups fixed all of my CV woes. If worse comes to worse, I have a spare drivers side jack shaft that might be for sale.
So, interesting discovery. I assumed it was coming from the front end, considering all the work I'd been doing on it, and it still SEEMS like it's coming from the front end.. BUT I looked at the rear and I noticed my rear sway bar bushing and bracket sheared off on the driver side and was leaning on the shock. There's some obvious "scrapage" on the shock.. So I will replace that asap and cross my fingers that was the raw grinding sound I'd been hearing. A smart man once told me to assume makes an *** out of U and ME.
