Funny how it all becomes kind of relative as you get more and more used to it. I was talking with friends the other day about getting together to play golf in the near future, and we started talking about how "nice" it was supposed to be at the beginning of the week because it was "only" supposed to be in the mid to low 90's.

My central air gave up the ghost last month after it reached 108F. I was lucky, too, to have a portable A/C I bought for my daughter 10 years ago. It was so humid I had to run it inside of a huge litter box to collect the gallon of water it sucked out of the air overnight. I replace my whole central air system three weeks ago ($$) and have been comfortable ever since. I just wish my garage was air conditioned so I could spend more time looking at my VX without sweating!

It's 83 in my office right now (they musta shut off the AC over the weekend). Can I borrow your portable??? Just kidding - it should be down to 80 by the time I leave today.
