Rear axle bearing noise is very easy to distinguish from other noises.
It makes a "whup-----whup------whup" sound that corresponds to one turn of the wheel.

I like your knowledge. Tonite I checked rear diff fluid, it smells just fine and is up to level, and it has a great oily feel, looks like new actually. So I greased up my drive shaft at all 3 points and will check it out tomoro. Thanks PK and everyone else who took the time to respond.
