Good points on all but one, "pedigreed owners"? Unless you're talking about a person of some fame or notoriety, I don't understand that point. Sure, If Carroll Shelby or Dan Gurney owned said muscle car the value would increase exponentially as was witnessed when Carroll's personal Shelby Cobra sold at auction for FIVE MILLION DOLLARS! Those circumstances are extremely rare and have little bearing on the value of the remaining masses of muscle cars. Originality, options list, overall condition and even color are all important when it comes to the value of the vast amount of muscle cars bought and sold.
