They now sell everything in a kit.

Hey Jo, not sure if you read my thread on headlight polishing but I too did it that way, (think I finished with 2000 grit) and it turned out fine. One thing I did since in my arm chair engineering mind, I think you lose surface tension (can't think how else to put it) by sanding. I went to a shop that has done tint and pin strip work on 4 of my cars and had him cover my lights in lexan to protect them. That was the summer of 06. I haven't seen any deterioration what so ever. Haven't done anything since other then washings. Just something to consider.![]()
Greetings, Earthling. We come in peace... Never mind "Paris to Dakar", the VehiCROSS looks ready for the Martian desert.
Results were good Rick.
I've done it this way before, about 5 years ago...so thats pretty good.
.
Rowhard..I agree that 2000 ( even 3000) to finish is a good way to go..
..couldnt get any, so used the "used" 1500 lightly as a last sanding.
.
I think the kit is overkill...and expensive.
Sponge buffer/one sheet of 1500 and half a bottle of PastX did two VX's.
I also tend to put my dark h/light covers on during summer..so that helps.
