Noises are tough, & sometimes aren't coming from the area you think.

Put a few wraps of duct tape around the loop that engages the hood latch, latch the hood, then take it for a test drive.

It's an easy test, & could be the culprit.

Since "chirp" was in the title, it makes me thinks hood latch, suspension usually sounds like a squeak to me.

I tried this technique and it works. It solved a vexing problem. I am grateful for the advice.
