Spoken like the deservedly proud "father" of the Kilbys that you are!!

The Kilby's maintain maximum ground clearance, ease of routine maintenance accessability (oil changes), and are capable of supporting the entire weight (2 Tons) of the VX on a single boulder as a fulcrum without any damage to sensitive components. No other belly-pan skidplate for the VX can even come close to the Kilby's. They are simply the best and have no peer, regardless of cost or price. 'Nuff said.

    BUT...

Sues example is atypical in that she is not lifted...
.... and therefore gets pulled/strapped over many obstacles.

In her case...its a GREAT application.

    However...

I cant recall any serious damage to "non Kilby plated" lifted VX's....

.......that run bare...or with the Trooper plates.

As for "any attempt to further improve upon its original design is futile"
    ..

    We shall see....

True dat, with me being stock (plus about 1" for the 285/60s), the skids are going to take a LOT more hits.... ...but apparently I haven't been trying hard enough....given what they looked like in November...
I did TOTW 2 years ago and obviously didn't hit that much....or maybe I was just a way better driver...or maybe the trail has drastically deteriorated....that's my vote.

p.s. thanks Jo and Dave for the nut info...

    (except maybe Kane Creek...)

Many commented on the deteriation of the trails.

    I like it....

    ....they offer new challenges.
