OMG, I was hoping this day would never come for at least a few more years. CS is (was) without a doubt THE most influential man in U.S. automotive high-performance history and there will never be another like him that has contributed so much to that effort. There are countless daughters named specifically after him (Shelby) by Dad's who are automotive enthusiasts. This is a very sad day for the entire automotive world and there remains a pair of shoes that can never, ever, be filled again. CS was a rare living legend in his own time (much like Paul McCartney is of the Beatles fame), and his passing will solidify his name in the automotive archives forever. RIP; CS, as your legend will continue to live on for eternity.
