Again - HAT's OFF to the Builder(s)! First rate fabrication work - PERIOD! Outstanding "problem solving", made it look "factory", killer upgrades, and a pretty damned nice end product! Yes, if you gents had started with a better "donor", this thing would have come out like a Chip Foose product! What I'm particularly encouraged by is that now you have a "template" - the next VX 5.3 transplant will go SO much faster, easier, and better; prolly cheaper too!

95K miles on my little Bumble Bee - 99% rust-free high desert VX with near perfect paint and interior. Runs like a top now - 1 quart/5K miles - but the day WILL come when this rascal is on its way to Maryland for a transplant - yes please!

I'm guessing that an inline 6 would be waaaay too long to fit in that confined space without stretching the nose outward. Not sayin it couldn't be done but the V8 is probably actually easier.

I don't know Tom, you could probably move the engine backwards and make a nice cup holder out of the engine cover. No need for heat either.

I'm hope-in you still will put a smiley after you "drop" that in. You may put a cup holder on an I6 but you can cook lunch and dinner at the same time on that.

I can't wait to see this thing in videos.

Hell, I'd even be up for another 3-hour drive to see it in person if the gents at AutoPros would have us. Would NOT want to miss that opportunity.

Whadaya say, AP? Could we maybe have another get together if we promise to mop up all the drool?

The VX is currently at the exhaust shop. When we get it back later this week, the interior gets ripped out one more time for the sounds system to go in. Then just waiting on Aeroquip/Eaton to finish the last A/C fitting to be able to wrap that up. Tires, emblems, detail, we are wrapping it up soon!

    Not. Soon. ENOUGH.

Gang, any thoughts on one more get together for a roll-out ceremony befitting this beast before she gets expatted? I'd jump at the once-in-a-lifetime chance to see this rig in person.
