The 5.3l I put in mine was from a 2009 h3 and I did go with the dana 300. I believe the motor is a little smaller than the 5.3 your putting in.

I'm really curious... Why hasn't anyone gone larger than 5.3? 5.7 and 6.0 have the same size blocks.
Is it the cost?
