Talking No new mods, just pic's of VX w/o the rack and tire on top.

Just wanted to see how Veronica would look like with out the roof rack and spare tire, been a long long time sense I have done this, and even longer took a picture of her with out it. Just wanted to share some new pic's.

I'm starting to like the roof scoop...

Did you ever make it functional?

TY, yes i did, but till i get rich or make extra money, i won't be able to do all my ideas. I have about 3 very unique n never done before ideas, that cost a fine penny, but yet no to far fetch. One of those includes the total finishing of the roof scoop, but till now its just a cockpit vent, just like seen on all those rally cars. In other words, its just a poor mans A/C for now .

Looking good, CC. But you're begging for trouble with that bike rack. I've seen a lot of push-in damage using that style.

Lookin' good Coastie but I gotta say, I always liked your cargo basket and think it complimented the hood scoop. Regardless, your VX still looks awesome without it.

...and the freshly painted hood looks amazing-ly glassy.

I really like the cleaned-up look a lot better without the unsightly roof rack and full-sze spare on the roof. It looks a lot more streamlined and doesn't look like a damn Winnebago Camper anymore. Sometimes less is better in the overall appearance than being all cluttered-up with unflattering debris. Nice!!!

Well I won't agree that roof racks = debris, but I will say that de-rallying the look some is a nice change, especially where the amber headlights were concerned. Can't say I ever cared for those.

Agree with others that the hood looks great - black hoods seem to really complement the insert well on Ironmans. Nice work.

Thanks guys, yeah love the hood blacked out, in my own opinion, I think it's my favorite unique mod so far, I really thnk it makes the ironman that more extra special. I would like to see a proton do it 2, not the rally one that did it first, but a member here. The scoop is functional, i can open it from the inside and get fresh air, a lot of it. But I have more plans with it, that my funds at the moment can't provide, but will in the future. Good thing I love that darn PUV cuz it will be a while till I continue with unique pricey mods. The stuff I use for the cladding is called trim protector gel, by eagle one. I bought it from discount auto parts.

    Thumbs up

I like the "tow point" stickers too...

Also looks much more sleek without the "big red flaps"...

    Talking

I had to take lenses off, after having them for like 3 years, they got me a ticket last year, so I was forced to take them off. And the flaps been off for like 2 years now. I miss them but I will put them back when I get new ones, but this time I'm going for black ones.
