    Tires

Are there any other tires that come in the stock size? Other than the Bridgestones that come OEM.

Absolutely. Lots of folks are running alternative tires on the 18's. Try sites like tirerack.com and plug in the stock size to see what will fit.

    I've tried that...one tire comes up...if any.

    Bridgestone Dueler H/T D689

    That's all tirerack.com has.

I’d recommend going with a slightly wider tire and you’ll have more options - use the search feature to see what others have used but 285/55/18 is the largest you’d want to go on the stock rim and actually 275 is a better fit.

Sorry, my mistake. Trying to help, but hadn't actually tried it myself. Guess that would be a good start. :-) There are other places to look, but I guess you have.

    Welcome to the board, BTW.

To get a more aggressive look, like the tires comming out past the cladding about an inch or so, what size tire should be used for the stock 18" rims?..Would I need to use spacers?

Hi I have a similar question.

I have a 99 VX with stock 16" Rims. I want to change my tires for BFs All Terrain T/A-KO. What is the widest size you guys recomend?

Is the 265/70R16 the widest I should go without having to do any trimming, or can I go up to 275?

I'm running Kumho ecsta 255/55/18 on my stock rims. I'm really impressed with them so far. About 2000 miles on them. The handling seems a bit better, and they are excellent in the rain. Tire guy said i should rotate them a little earlier, as the wear rating is a little worse than the stock ones. All in all a great tire for the price. 98$ each. I actually like them quite a bit more than most of the other "performance" tires I've had.
    Stick with what works.

    Question Yea Tires

I too am in the market for tires, I know I've seen that "What's the widest 16" tire I can go" question before but being as I didn't need tires I didn't pay attention. I'm planning on a wider more aggressive tire to replace my stocks. I got 45k on the Duelers.

So what is the widest 16?

How about the sidewall height? low profile and "cowboy" tires

What are the pros and cons of the wider tire?
