I mean ALL OF US would fit in there, we could start a commune, and all live together sharing our skills and creating the ULTIMATE VX of Destruction...     i really dig that hilux.... why cant we get a small diesel truck in the states with factory 38" tires? (sold)

    It's a good point, if the apocolypse happens gas will be at a premium, and the VX is a guzzler. Wish it was a deisel with better mpg.

    You guiz and girlz know that after about 8-12 months after the apocalypse gasoline will not run most modern engines or even most older engines. The necessary additives will have evaporated.

    I had gas in my snowmobile for 3 years and it ran on it. I burn old gas through my ford F-150, fuel injected, it spits and sputters a little bit but it burns.

    Given current technology you better hope you don't have to drive more than a few hundred miles or that you don't have more than a few rainy days in a row.

    Anything is probably cheaper than gas...I'd settle for a strong 4 cylinder in the vx if it got me 25 to 30mpg.
