$25k vs $370k....
Hmmm....
Btw, your pic gets 4mpg and ours is actually gonna see the light of day.
I can actually see the Miata and S2k crew taking an interest in BRZ, especially if the STi version gets the green light. Lacks AWD and the full on powertrain of my current STi, so, I passed a long time ago.![]()

All ribbing Dubs, all ribbing. My elbow tends to get sore with it here since we all do it so much.
And agreed. When I first heard about the project, I assumed Subie was contracted to build the new Supra, since Toyota can hardly build a car with working brakes or seat belts now. I am sad to see this venture landed it as a "Scion" as well, since, IMHO, every high schooler will have one the day they come out. Regardless, it isn't my cup of tea anyways. Too small and not a fan of RWD unless it has the power to boot.
And ya, an AWD unit would have made the car too heavy and defeat the purpose of building a lightweight sport coupe. Average power plus very lightweight and you can still end up with a nasty little axe murderer.
Anyways, this was a complete thread-jack. Apologies.
the BR-Z is being tested for turbos now, and subaru projects the turbo version to emerge in late 2013.
I have a 'friend' at subaru who leaks info to me![]()
