OK, got the first coat of epoxy resin laid & am waiting for it to tack...
Gonna proceed with the laying on of the fiber (carbon, that is...) in about ten min...
Plz send all available good ju-ju & + vibes towards Fgo...![]()
Well...that was a complete F U B A R...
I got what I had comin', I guess...I shoulda known I would need a helper for the placement of the cf...
Now the GOOD news...
Due to the fact that I have a few friends around here, John (Rowhard) being one of the bestus...
I had a "plan B" to fall back on. After I F U B A R'd about $65.oo in REAL cf, I remembered that John had sent me (just cuz...for free, whatta guy) a good sized hunk of black fiberglass fabric.
Same 2x2 twill as cf, just a bit stiffer in the drape/flexibility dept.
John, ya saved the ol' dubsters bacon today...
Actually, thanks isn't enough...
THANK YOU!!!
At the least, I'll always have a F'd-up piece of cf to remind me to slow down & maybe even ask for some help once in a while...or not...
Gotta go heat gun some bubbles...more later...![]()

I'd be willing to bet niether of us has taken any cred for others accomplishments , nor blamed the nearest passer by for our failures...
HOWEVER, the learning process for us, is not so much a curve, as it is a nearly vertical straight line......
