OK...got a few steps closer to the end today...
Everything in general is smoov enuf to throw C/F down...
Decided to go with a red "faux anodized" finish on the duct...
Hope to have the C/F stuck to the insert by the beginning of next week...
All wishes of "good luck" will be appreciated, I'm a little nervous about the next step...
