    Cool Help with

Looking for some info on a upcoming project.... I am going to be installing a Temp Gauge in my vx. Radiator is oem, allmost everything under the hood is still oem. Where did you guys and girls install the sensor.? any other problems? Our VX does not overheat, however I want to get a # on our operating temps. Try to head off problems others have had.

    Thanks for all your help
    Chris

    Wrench

A scan gauge is one way to go, & that allows you to monitor a couple different functions, + viewing/clearing any CEL codes that may pop...in real time...on the fly...

OR...if you're of a more "old school" mind set, get yourself an inline bung, & go from there...

sweet... thanks. I think the fourth option is for us. I want a better gauge than the oem sweep bar. I keep a scanner in the glove for on the fly.

Option #4 seems like a lot of trouble for the same result as a Scan Gauge - am I missing something? You know SG gives you a live digital read-out on temp right?

Mine are lesser units.... pocket scan and such, have a couple of them. I am used to your type of device, I had a GM Tech II for my chevy's. I just installed an old school oil presure gauge and wanted to match it up with a coolant temp.
    thanks again
